Dobbs Ferry Boys Basketball Wins Sixth Straight

YONKERS, N.Y. – Eric Paschall and Spencer Avalos each scored 15 points Friday as the visiting Dobbs Ferry boys’ basketball team won its sixth straight game with a 49-30 victory over Yonkers High School.

The streaking Eagles (15-1), who won their first nine games of the season before losing to Woodlands last month, used a stifling defense in the second half of a close game that Dobbs Ferry led 16-13 at halftime.

Dobbs Ferry extended its lead to 27-21 after three quarters and outscored the Bulldogs 22-9 to pull away in the fourth quarter.

Pablo Gomez and Tom Rabadi each scored seven points for Yonkers.

The Eagles visit Woodlands Monday at 4:15 p.m. in a rematch of the earlier loss.
