WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The Dobbs Ferry boys basketball team fell just short of winning its first Section 1 title since 1967 Saturday as Our Lady of Lourdes grabbed an 85-80 overtime victory in the Class B final at the County Center.

Dobbs Ferry (15-7) junior guard Eric Paschall scored 34 points and teammate Nick Kost added 23, 10 in the critical fourth-quarter. Dan Foresti made a layup with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 71-71 and force overtime.

Lourdes (17-5) made 11 free throws in the fourth quarter and overtime to hold off the Eagles.

The tightly played game was tied 17-17 after one quarter, 32-32 at halftime and 60-60 after three quarters before being tied again, 71-71 at the end of four quarters.

Kost carried the Eagles in the first quarter, scoring nine points as Paschall got off to a slow start. Paschall opened up in the second quarter, scoring eight to finish the first half with 12 points.

Paschall, who also had 16 rebounds and four blocked shots, was named to the tournament's Most Valuable Player and Kost was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Josh Smith added 12 points for the Eagles before fouling out in overtime.
