DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Eric Paschall, a freshman from Dobbs Ferry, leads the Fordham University men’s basketball team in scoring entering Monday’s game against Manhattan College.

Paschall, who played at St. Thomas More in Connecticut in high school, is averaging 18.1 points per game for the Rams (3-5). He has started seven games and scored 31 points in his college debut, a 94-77 win over the New York Institute of Technology. He earned Rookie of the Week honors  by the Atlantic 10 for that performance.

Paschall was named the New England Prep School Athletic Conference AAA Player of the Year last year at St. Thomas More. He helped the team advance to the National Prep School Championship game. He also played three years at Dobbs Ferry High School and was the Class B Player of the Year as a junior in 2013.

Paschall also scored 25 points against Maryland Eastern-Shore and has reached double figures in six games.

The Rams are coming off a 74-53 loss to St. John’s on Dec.14. Monday’s game tips off at 6 p.m. at the Barclays Center.

Nihad Musovic, a senior from Yonkers who played at Fordham Prep, is also a member of the Rams’ basketball team.
