DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Dobbs Ferry High School's Eric Paschall continued where he left off last winter beginning his junior basketball season by averaging 23 points per game in December to be named Daily Voice Athlete of the Month.
Paschall, a 6-6 star who can shoot from the outside, as well and go to the basketball, led the Eagles to a 5-4 record despite missing two games, both of which Dobbs Ferry lost. He has averaged 11 rebounds a game and has blocked 14 shots while handing out three assists per game.
Paschall helped lead the Eagles to the Section 1 Class C championship as a sophomore last year and is rated as one of the top juniors in the state by several publications.
The sharp-shooting guard, who has scored in double figures in all seven of his starts, scored a season-high 33 points in a loss to Albertus Magnus and 30 points each in victories against Irvington and Riverside (Yonkers). Paschall made 54 of 77, or 70 percent, of his free throws in December.
