Hastings Rec Accepting Youth Football Registration

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Hastings Recreation Department is accepting registration for two football teams for the 2012 season.

Children in grades three through six in the fall will have the opportunity to join the Hastings Youth Football team that competes in the Scarsdale Recreation League. Practices start Aug. 15 and will be three times per week. The season ends Nov. 17.

Early registration will be until July 29 and cost $175 per player or $150 each for siblings. Late registration, which begins after July 29, will cost $200 per player or $175 each for siblings. The Hastings Recreation Department also is accepting registration for flag football for the 2012 season. Students in kindergarten through second grade are eligible for the team.

Practices will be from 4-4:45 p.m. Tuesdays at Zinsser Park. Games will be Thursdays and will begin in September and continue until mid-November. Registration can be done in person at James Harmon Community Center during regular business hours.

The cost is $125 per player and $100 for additional siblings. Payments must be made to the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson by check, money order or credit card.
