Lee won the Section I State Qualifier in the 300-meter race with a time of 39.31, the fifth-fastest all-time record in Westchester County and sixth-fastest time in Section I history.

“Kiana is one of the best athletes I’ve ever coached,” said track Coach Andrew Jezik.

During the New York State Public High School State Indoor Track and Field Championship, Lee finished second in her preliminary heat, but was able to bounce back in the final and earn the silver medal. She was hot on the heels of the first-place finisher, completing the race just nine-hundredths of a second after her.

Lee’s race time also earned her a bronze medal in the New York State Federation Championship.

Not only has Lee left an impressive athletic legacy behind at her high school, but her coaches say her work ethic and character are remarkable as well.

“Kiana is a hard worker and a great team leader,” said Jezik.
