Irvington Standouts Track Success At State Championships

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Five student-athletes from Irvington High School competed in the New York State Track and Field Championships in Albany earlier this month.

Several of the athletes placed in their category and are headed to the national competition in North Carolina. Kiana Lee, who ran her personal best, won the 400-meter dash for division II and was named a State Champion in that category. She is currently ranked 119th in the country for the 400-meter.

Lee  also ran the 200-meter dash, where she placed third in division II and eighth in the federation.

In addition, she was part of the girls 4x100 team with Julia Correa, Brianna Pierre and Zoe Maxwell. The team placed second in division II and set a school record of 49.49 seconds.
