Walk-Off Single by Bock Gives Mercy a 7-6 Win

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. — Andrew Bock’s two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted host Mercy College to a 7-6 win over the University of Bridgeport in Saturday's game one of the college baseball double-header. Freshman Joseph Pareres, a Bronxville resident, earned his first college win, registering the last two outs in the top of the seventh inning. Starting pitcher Bryan Greig allowed six runs, but only three earned, in six and one-third innings. Vinny Orlando had four hits in six at-bats and two RBIs in the double-header. Greig went two for four with an RBI in the second game, a 9-3 loss.
