Westchester Knicks Win Preseason Contest At County Center

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Westchester Knicks defeated the Delaware 87ers 96-88 at the Westchester County Center on Monday in a preseason game in preparation for their inaugural season.

Westchester will tip off the regular season on the road against the Oklahoma City Blue on Sunday, Nov. 16 before returning for the home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.

Four Westchester Knicks players hit double-digit scoring, led by Darnell Jackson with 23 points. Affiliate player Langston Galloway finished with 20 points while fourth round pick Todd Mayo netted 17 points. All fourteen active players from training camp saw minutes in the preseason match. With an 8-0 run in the last six minutes of the game, Westchester came together on offense to solidify the win. Coach Whitted was also impressed with the team’s defense stating, “Definitely very happy that they held Delaware under 90 points; we want to get stops and tonight, we got them.” Tickets for the inaugural season of the Westchester Knicks are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets and the Westchester County Center Box Office.
