Officials in Irvington issued an alert to residents regarding a large crane that will be positioned near the construction site on Wednesday to place a significant portion of the culvert structure.

“Specifically, the crane will be located on Station Road between Woodbine and Brook Place and will be positioned in such a way that the houses in the immediate vicinity of Brook Place will not have vehicular access to their driveways,” officials noted. “Those residents have been contacted directly by the contractor and will make arrangements to park in an alternate location.”

Work is expected to extend into the late afternoon. Officials noted that emergency services have been made aware of the crane operation and will be prepared to respond properly without compromising their services.
