Light Snow Lingers In Rivertowns

A Winter Weather Advisory that had been in effect for Westchester and Rockland counties until noon Wednesday has been lifted, but on-and-off light snow is expected through the morning, especially before 10 a.m.

Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

A total of 10 public school districts in Northern Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess had delayed openings Wednesday. There was one school district that closed. For the rundown, click here.

Wednesday's high temperature will be in the mid 30s, with wind-chill factors between 20 and 30.

There will be a chance of flurries Wednesday evening with an overnight low around 20.

There could be more slick conditions Thursday morning with scattered snow showers after 7 a.m.

The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 20s.

The outlook for Friday calls for mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 20s.

Temperatures will plummet over the weekend with overnight lows Saturday night expected to be in the negative digits.
