Hastings Chef Outcooked In Golden Knives Challenge's Round 1

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tarrytown and Irvington chefs came out on top during the first week of the Golden Knives Challenge.

Irvington chefs Navjot Arora from Chutney Masala and Eric Korn from Good-Life Gourmet garnered wins in the other two challenges, beating out Flourish Baking Company's Diane Forley and Michael Otsuka and the Peekskill Brewery's Sean Corcoran.

The winning chefs will compete again next week in the second round of challenges on May 13 through 15.

The Golden Knives Challenge is asking fans to vote for one of the losing chefs to come back to compete in Round Two on their Facebook page. Voting closes at 9 p.m.

The Golden Knives Challenge takes place at the Lodge of Hudson Harbor in Tarrytown, which has been transformed into a dining room. Tickets are $50 and available by calling 914-747-0519 or emailing events@cappacrucy.com.
