HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A local house was hit by eggs and vandalized by spray-painted swastikas and the word "Jews," lohud.com reported.
Police are regarding the crime as a "bias incident" possibly connected to a disagreement among youth, according to lohud.com.
The house belongs to a Jewish family, lohud.com said.
Hastings Mayor Peter Swiderski said the vandalism "had the feel of kids" and called it "sad and disturbing," according to lohud.com.
Locals responded with the creation of "HOH Citizens Pursuing Tolerance," a resident reportedly said, reported lohud.com.
