DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. There are more than just town and county elections coming up on Tuesday with the races for village mayor and members of the board of trustees open as well.
Dobbs Ferry Mayor Hartley Connett is running for reelection and will be unopposed in that race. Connett has been mayor since 2009 and this would be his second term. He was also a village trustee from 2003-2006. Connett has lived in Dobbs Ferry for over 20 years and he currently works in New York City as an executive director for a global commodity trading and resource company according to the village website.
Victor Golio Jr., Catherine Kay and Vincent Rossillo are all running for the board of trustees with three openings on the board. Golio has been a trustee since 2009 and is running on the Republican and Dobbs Ferry Party lines. Golio is a lifelong resident of the village and currently works in NYC as executive vice president of a direct response media buying agency according to the village website.
Kay was a village trustee from 2003-2006 and has been Deputy Mayor on the board since 2009. Kay has lived in Dobbs Ferry for 24 years and currently works in NYC as a network news director for CBS according to the village website. Kay will be running on the Republican and Dobbs Ferry Party lines.
Rossillo is the lone newcomer to the board and currently works as a partner in the law firm of Fine, Olin and Anderman according to the Dobbs Ferry Democratic Committee website. The website states Rossillos firm primarily represents union members and their families in personal injury, workers compensation, social security disability and other labor related matters. Rossillo will be running on the Democratic and Hudson River Party line.
