Downed Tree Closes Route 9 In Hastings Near Burnside Drive

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Powers lines and a tree were down Thursday morning on Route 9 in Hastings near Burnside Drive, closing the road from Devon Way to Washington Street, according to News 12.

Officials said heavy rains in the area downed the tree, which took the power lines with it. Consolidated Edison and village workers were on scene working to reopen the roadway. Officials said they expected the road to be closed for most of the morning, said News 12.
