Funeral Arrangements Made For 4-Year-Old Greenburgh Drowning Victim

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Visiting hours are set for Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in White Plains for Jayden Andre Morrison of Greenburgh, the 4-year-old autistic boy found drowned Friday in Little River, S.C.

A funeral service is planned Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 188 Orawaupum St., with the Rev. Erwin Lee Trollinger officiating.

Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla.

Jayden was on a holiday vacation with his family when he wandered off on Christmas Eve. Rescuers found his body Friday morning in a retention pond in the Hidden Lakes neighborhood.

The boy is survived by his parents, Andre P. Morrison and Tabatha I. Walker-Morrison of Greenburgh; his grandmother, Carolyn Sumpter; his twin brother, Jordan Michael; his older sister, Kennedy Nicole; and his younger sister, Kelsey Carolyn.

Jayden attended Hawthorne Country Day School. He was proficient in technology and enjoyed playing with his blue IPad. His favorite television programs were Sesame Street and Sid the Science Kid. His favorite television station was Nick Jr. He actively participated and became involved in children’s learning activities. His gross motor skills were very good and he loved running, jumping and climbing, according to his family.
