ARDSLEY, N.Y. Police said a lot of times people dont realize something is missing or has been stolen until much later, especially if its not something you see every day.
A 35-year-old female resident of Ashford Avenue reported to police on Feb. 15 that approximately $8,000 worth of jewelry had gone missing from her home. Police said the jewelry was last seen in November, but she did not realize it until recently. Police said they have a few names of people who had access to the womans home in that time frame and are investigating the situation.

Unpaid Parking Tickets - A red Mazda was pulled over on Ashford Avenue on Feb. 15 after police said the cars license plate hit on a platehunter. Police said the 23-year-old Yonkers woman was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended registration over unpaid parking tickets. Police did not specify how many tickets or how much money was owed by the woman.
Stolen Wine, No Charges - Police said an Ardsley woman was caught stealing a bottle of wine from a liquor store on Saw Mill River Road on Feb. 16. The store did not want to press charges according to police, but the woman was told to not come back to the store.
