HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Drivers should be prepared to take an alternate route due to the closure of southbound Warburton Avenue over Cropsey Lane this week in Hastings.
The closure -- part of the Warburton Avenue Bridge rehabilitation project -- will run Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The southbound closure is necessary for paving operations. Southbound Bee-Line buses will be detoured off Warburton Avenue between Spring Street in Hastings and Wells Avenue in Yonkers.
The detour for motorists will be to use Main Street to Broadway (U.S. 9) to Washington Avenue.
The northbound direction of Warburton Avenue is currently closed. The northbound closure detour is posted using Washington Avenue and Broadway (U.S. 9) with a temporary traffic signal installed at the Washington Avenue and Broadway intersection. The northbound closure will continue until Friday, Dec. 18.
The work performed on this project includes replacement of the concrete bridge deck, sidewalks, asphalt surface, repairs and painting of the steel superstructure, milling and paving of the roadway approaches.
