Eleanor Victoria Bova, 84, Of Dobbs Ferry

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Eleanor Victoria Bova, of Dobbs Ferry, died on Aug. 23. She was 84.

Bova was born on Sept. 17, 1930 to Eleanor (nee Liberti) and Paul Rubeo.

She worked as a hairdresser and also worked at the family luncheonette Bova's Den in Elmsford.

Bova was predeceased by her parents, husband James, brother Victor, brother-in-law John, and sisters Olga Harklerode and Connie Ciarnella.

She is survived by two children, Jim and his wife Lori of Ridgefield, Conn., and Phyl Ann Santo of Irvington, two sisters, Elizabeth Mancuso and her husband Buddy of Yonkers, Josephine Yazurlo, two sisters-in-law, Mary Bova of Dobbs Ferry and Amelia Rubeo of Yonkers, five grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are on Tuesday (today) at 5 to 8 p.m. at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, located at 491 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.

A mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.

Interment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Rosary Hill Nursing Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Thornwood, NY 10594.
