Chinese Food Deliveryman Robbed At Gunpoint In Dobbs Ferry

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Two men robbed a deliveryman from Golden Dragon in Dobbs Ferry of food and cash at gunpoint at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Gate House at D’Assern Drive and Walgrove Avenue, police said.

The employee was cut on his nose when one of the men hit him with the gun during the robbery, Sgt. Sean White said.

The employee told police an unknown person ordered $54 worth of food from Golden Dragon to be delivered to the Gate House, a building owned by Children’s Village. Upon arriving, the employee called the person and requested he come outside to pick up the food because it was dark and the deliveryman was concerned for his safety, police said.

Two males came out of the building, walked up to the car, produced a handgun and demanded money. One struck the driver in the face with the gun, police said. The two men grabbed the food and $10 in cash and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The employee returned to Golden Dragon. An ambulance was called, but he refused medical treatment.

Although the Gate House is owned by Children’s Village, it is unclear whether the suspects are associated with the school. Police were investigating.
