10 Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

More than two dozen motorists were busted by New York State Police troopers this past week as law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continue a nationwide crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving.

Westchester County

  • On Friday, Oct. 5, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Joanne P. Holmes, 40, of White Plains, for DWI. She was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, when she was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Oct. 6, State Police from Somers arrested Lisa A. Vanderweker, 54, of Yorktown, for DWI. She was traveling on Granite Spring Road in Somers, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Oct. 6, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Walter T. Nealy, 30, of Yonkers, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Oct. 6, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Joseph A. Pacchiana, 41, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on East Main Street in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Oct. 6, State Police from Stormville arrested Ryan S. Priore, 25, of Shrub Oak, for Aggravated DWI due to a prior conviction, a class E felony. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Oct. 7, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Michael J. Quirk, 37, of Bronxville, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9A in Ossining, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Oct. 7, State Police from Brewster arrested Rodolfo M. Rodriguez, 51, of North Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Oct. 7, State Police from Somers arrested Wilmer A. Gonzalez Melchor, 25, of Mount Kisco, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 202 in Somers, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Sunday, Oct. 7, State Police from Somers arrested Agustin G. Abinada Roman, 32, of Bedford, for DWI. He was traveling on Lexington Avenue in Mount Kisco, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Oct. 7, State Police from Somers arrested Rachel E. Marcus, age 31, of Bedford, for DWI. She was traveling on Harris Road in Bedford, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Saturday, Oct. 6, State Police from Brewster arrested Aroldo R. Martinez Meija, 27, of Brewster, for DWI. He was traveling on Main Street in Brewster, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Oct. 6, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Aaron V. Courtman, 37, of Putnam Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on Memorial Drive in Cortlandt, investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Oct. 7, State Police from Somers arrested Maria Avitabile, 24, of Carmel, for DWI. She was traveling on Union Valley Road in Carmel, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Friday, Oct. 5, State Police from Somers arrested Seth L. Renz, 20, of Beekman, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Bedford, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Oct. 5, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Edward W. Minovich, 25, of Wappinger, for DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Oct. 5, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Edward W. Minovich, 25, of Wappinger, for DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Fairfield County

  • On Friday, Oct. 5, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested Tammy L. Williams-Corroll, 45, of New Fairfield, for Aggravated DWI. She was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Milan, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Oct. 5, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Gary J. Guerra, 19, of Danbury, Cfor DWI. He was traveling on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
