Port Authority police: JC woman in airport crash had loaded pistol, warrants

BEYOND BERGEN: A Jersey City driver wanted on warrants out of two cities had a fully loaded pistol in her bag, with a round in the chamber, when her car collided with a tractor-trailer near Newark Airport before dawn this morning, Port Authority police said.

PAPD arrested 19-year-old Tiffany Walters on the I-78 connector after discovering warrants from Newark and Irvington at the 4:30 a.m. crash scene, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

A subsequent search turned up the Raven .25- caliber semi-automatic pistol, he said.

Walters was charged with illegal weapons possession.
