Gunmen Rob Fairfield Bank

UPDATE, 3:30 p.m.: Fairfield Police released still photos taken from the bank's security cameras during the robbery. If anyone is able to identify the men in these photos, they should contact the Fairfield Police. 

 

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Two men robbed the Chase Bank in lower Greenfield Hill at gunpoint Tuesday morning, according to Fairfield Police. The pair entered the bank at 161 Hillside Ave. wearing ski masks and brandishing pistols at about 11:30 a.m. and made away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Bank employees told police that a third man waited in a car in the parking lot. The two who went into the bank showed a handgun to the teller near the door and demanded money. They then got into a gray, four-door Nissan and headed north on Bronson Road.

One of the suspects was described as a black male with a thin build wearing a white sweatshirt, blue jeans and black and white sneakers. The only description available for the second suspect was that he was a black male. Witnesses could not describe the driver.

Fairfield officers and detectives arrived shortly after the robbery and began interviewing witnesses. Anyone with information should contact the Fairfield Police at (203) 254-4800.
