VERPLANCK, N.Y. - Jamie Turner of Verplanck died May 11. She was 61.
Turner was born Oct. 25, 1951, in New York City to Frank and Jeanette (Gordineer) Westfall. She was a waitress and manager in many of the area establishments after moving to Verplanck. She represented many local nonprofit organizations as an advertising executive.
Turner is survived by her companion, Gary Dyckman of Verplanck; children, Melissa (Greg) Purdy, Rebecca (John) Filicone and Robert Turner; seven grandchildren; sisters, Linda Meyer and April Ward; brother, Rickey (Peggy) Rogers; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cortlandt Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 at the funeral home. A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Turner’s memory to the Cancer Center at Hudson Valley Hospital.
