ArdsleyCares PTA Sponsors Community Cleanup, Recycling

ARDSLEY, N.Y. - The ArdsleyCares PTA Committee and the three Ardsley public schools are continuing their Earth Day efforts with a Village Cleanup Day on Saturday.

The ArdsleyCares PTA organization is sponsoring a community cleanup day and clothing and shoe collection this week.

ArdsleyCares welcomes residents and their families and friends to the communitywide cleanup effort beginning at the Concord Road School Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

The PTA organization is also collecting donations of gently used children's books and children's and adult shoes through May 6.

Donated books, which will be used in the Fourth Annual Concord Road Book Swap on May 8 and 9, should be for kindergarten through fourth grade readers; no adult books, please.

ArdsleyCares is collecting gently used shoes -- child and adult; paired shoes only; no flip flops, slippers and boots -- for ShoeBox Recycling, which provides shoes to those in need around the world.
