HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. The Hastings Recreation Department women's tennis team led by captain Susan Richman won the 2012 Westchester County B League championship Tuesday.
Hastings won three of the five court challenges with each victory stretched to a third to set tiebreakers. Team members received a trophy, individual medals and championship t-shirts
"The finals were very competitive between top seeded Hastings-on-Hudson and Briarcliff," Richman said. "The outcome could have easily gone either way because three courts were decided by third set tie breaks. This win gave us a perfect undefeated record for the season."
The Hastings Rec team players included; Debbie Schoen, Co-Captain, Annette Borowitz, Erica Ropers, Debbie Samis, Gillian Driscoll, Louise Cadoux, Leigh Ann Winick, Dianne Einhorn, Frances Milliken, Tamie Maehara, Nancy Cuppek, Shino Yasui, Kayoko Ito, Maura Friend, Kumiko Buller, Donna Rohan, Suzanne Page, Dana Greco, Mary Lambert ans Mary Wilson.
