Man Dies At Hospital After Blaze At Home In Hudson Valley A man died at a hospital following a fire at a residence in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Tuesday, May 7 in Ossining in the area of Liberty Street and Spring Street, where a multi-floor residence went up in flames, according to Ossining Police. Hudson Valley Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck A 39-year-old Hudson Valley man was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while standing on a roadway in Connecticut. The crash occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on I-91 north of the Exit 46 on-ramp in Enfield. According to the Connecticut State Police, Dutchess County resident TJ Jennings of Hopewell Junction was standing in the highway's right lane when struck by the truck. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 6:10 p.m., Monday, May 6, at 290 W. Route 59 in Spring Valley. According to Det. Fatal Crash: Vehicle Hits Tree, Goes Up In Flames On Busy Hudson Valley Highway A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After hitting the tree, the vehicle went up in flames, Hicks said. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash has not been released. 90 Cats Rescued From 'Deplorable' Hudson Valley Home Police are investigating after 90 cats were in poor health and deplorable living conditions in a home in the region. Dutchess County Sheriff's Office members discovered the cats at a home in Dover on Saturday, May 4. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the home for a report of animal cruelty. Upon investigation, 90 cats were in poor health and were rescued by deputies and volunteer animal rescue workers.
